Fun Scraps

I had some scraps of paper lying on my desk, so when I sat down to make cards for the week I reached for those.  I also pulled out some dies I purchased this summer at our local scrapbook store.  I find that when I am making cards, especially, I don't want to take time to cut anything with the cricut.

The coffee cup birthday card ended up going to the mom of one of the graduates I made a card for this year.  Funny enough I used the same papers for both cards...

Busy couple of weeks.

July is a popular month for birthdays and anniversaries.  I've been enjoying the chance to create some new cards, but I am looking forward to scrapbooking some pages for my youngest daughter one of these days.

It was fun to pull the teddy bear stamped image I've had for ages and make it into a card for a sweet little girl that turns 2.

I made this card for a gentleman in our church that has his own carpentry business.  It put some stamps to good use.

Lots of Birthdays...

Every once in awhile there seems to be an abundance of birthday cards that need to be made for church family members.  This happened to be one of those weeks.

I especially enjoyed making the guitar card for our song worship leader.

First try using watercolors...

I've had a set of water color paints for several months now, but today was the first time I got them out to use on a couple of cards.  For the thank you card I just used a few pinks to create the background.  The sympathy card was made using browns and a green.  After the paper dried, I embossed the paper to make it look like wood grain.  I love how this card turned out.

Recent cards

My card stash is getting low, so I needed to make a few for church family members.
