Crazy for circles...

I have been using up lots of precut papers by making cards with a focus on circles.  Some of the papers were other shapes before turning into circles for these cards.  I was just trying to use coordinating papers.

Getting rid of circles

Years ago I cut circles and other shapes from scrap paper.  I've held on to them because that is what I do.  😊  Do you think I will be able to get rid of them?  I certainly hope so!

Anyway, I had a few minutes to put some cards together.  This is an idea I found to use up some of those circles that have served no purpose for far too long.

Thank You

We enjoyed a lovely visit with family at my sister-in-laws home.  I didn't want to delay in making and sending a thank you card, so I used some scraps to make this card.

Fall Scraps

I found another envelope with pre-cut scraps, so I made these two cards even though they lend themselves more to the fall season.  I'm am finally starting to get a card stash...

partial sympathy card order

We received an order for 20 sympathy cards, but we were traveling and didn't have time to get to the full order.  For now we delivered a partial order and will work to finish the remaining 11 cards.

Mojo Monday 494

Another great start to the week with participation in the Mojo Monday Sketch....  This time I focused on using scraps for some masculine birthday cards.  I am really liking my new system for using up scraps.  Perhaps I will get through all of them...  😊

Card making mania and scraps galore!

Over the weekend I tackled the daunting task of organizing all my scraps of paper, both patterned paper and card stock alike.  I'm not one to throw out scraps, because I might just be able to use a piece on a card.  😏  In the past I've tried to organize scraps by color, but this time around I decided to cut my patterned pieces into usable sizes for A2 cards.  Then I put them in appropriately labeled envelopes.  For card stock, I first took anything larger than a 4x4 or 6 inch in length for size and put them in file folders by color.  Smaller scraps I cut into various lengths and then placed in appropriately labeled envelopes.  We'll see how this works, but for now I like it.

I was able to use scraps for the Mojo Monday cards I made this week just by going to the appropriate sizes and finding scraps that would work together.

In the process of organizing and cleaning up my craft space, I came across some envelopes with precut scraps for cards.  I took one of the envelopes and created all these cards.  Now I have a few cards ready to grab when I need them.  😊

Mojo Monday #493

I was able to get into my craft space and create this week's church family cards sooner rather than later.  I used the current Mojo Monday Sketch for these cards.

Church birthday round-up

I had very little time and several cards to make.  Fortunately I had been putting together some card bases with scrap paper so all I had to do was add sentiments and embellish for these.

Mojo Monday 492

Checking in with cards for the Mojo Sketch 492...  It's always difficult for me to know how to embellish a card for a more masculine feel. This time I used washi tape.

Thank you!

Between travel and a ball, I had 5 thank you cards to make this week.  I'm so glad I had some pre-cut scraps.  It made putting the cards together so much quicker!

Mojo Monday 491

I had lots of cards to make this week--church family birthday and anniversary cards plus several thank you cards.  I'll be breaking the pictures up in two posts.

I only used the sketch for one card.  The others were made using scraps I had pre-cut for some patterns in one of my many CTMH sketch books.
