December VLV sketch cards, plus others

I haven't been spending much time in my craft room this month, but I did want to share these cards I have made.

More VLV November Sketch cards and then some...

I've recently acquired some new dies from my LSS.  It's been fun cutting out new images.

Beautiful thank you...

Recently myself and several others had the privilege of staying with a family we did not know.  Their hospitality was beyond words.  I had the honor of making the thank you card we sent to this family.  These are the cards I made to choose from.

November VLV Sketch

The month is already over half over and it wasn't until recently that I was able to play with the VLV November Sketch.  I am continuing to enjoy adding some texture to my cards through embossing folders.  I've got several other cards started using this sketch, but I need to add some finishing touches.

Playing catch-up

I have a few cards to share from the last few weeks...  During this process I found that my maple leaf die was cracked.  I took a trip to my LSS and purchased a new set of leaf dies.  I love to use them for embellishments this time of the year.

Sweet Sister-in-Law

One of my sister-in-laws has a birthday coming up, so I spent some time in my crafty space putting together a special card for her.  I have a bag I've been putting all my paper scraps in and that is where I started.  After sorting out the patterned papers by color, I chose some of my favorites.  Then I found a larger scrap of paper for the background.  I have been using my embossing folders more lately and I love the added dimension.  The sentiment is one from Verve.  After assembling the bulk of the card, I found a few other scraps to use for cutting flowers and leaves to put the finishing touches on the card.  This is one of those cards that I am so pleased with the final result.

This is the card I used for inspiration.

more October VLV cards

I am trying to get my stash of birthday and anniversary cards built up so I don't have to rush to try and get them made at the last minute each week.  I used the current VLV sketch and scraps for these cards.

Masculine cards

I found an old Mojo Monday sketch from 2013 and made several masculine cards for my stash.  I have lots of guy birthdays this week at church.

Another take on the October VLV Sketch

I needed some cards for friends at church, so I grabbed some paper scraps and used the October Viva La Verve Sketch to create these and several other cards.  I'll share those another day.  I had to get a quick picture of these before I filled them out and took them to church.

For the little boy cards, I actually cut into a full 12x12 piece of paper.  That's what happens when you have the perfect paper to go with a construction stamp set.

Milestone Birthday

I created this card for a young man that turned 18 recently.  The verse was fitting as he is a young man that loves and lives for the Lord.  For my background, I inked the embossing folder before sending it through the Cuddlebug.  I like how it turned out.  The leaves were ones I had cut for some earlier cards, but they added just the right touch for this card.

October Viva La Verve -- Sympathy

A gentleman from our church family went home to be with the Lord.  I didn't have any sympathy cards on hand, so I created these two options using the current VLV sketch and some Verve Scripture stamps.

Another group for the VLV September Sketch

As I work to make cards for our church family, I am trying to make extras to get my stash built up again for those weeks I just don't have extra time to make cards.

September VLV Sketch

Well, I finally had a chance to use the September sketch from Viva La Verve.  I tried both horizontal and vertical options.  It's definitely a fun sketch to play with and a great way to use up more of the piles of scraps I have accumulated over the years.
