More VLV August Sketch Cards

I made a few more quick cards using the August VLV sketch and some scraps of paper.  These were for some church family members.

Viva La Verve August Sketch

I've missed the Mojo Monday sketches, so it was so much fun to see a return of the Viva La Verve Sketches for August.  I had lots of cards to make for church family and several thank you cards to make last week, so I used this sketch for several of them.

Fun Scraps

I had some scraps of paper lying on my desk, so when I sat down to make cards for the week I reached for those.  I also pulled out some dies I purchased this summer at our local scrapbook store.  I find that when I am making cards, especially, I don't want to take time to cut anything with the cricut.

The coffee cup birthday card ended up going to the mom of one of the graduates I made a card for this year.  Funny enough I used the same papers for both cards...

Busy couple of weeks.

July is a popular month for birthdays and anniversaries.  I've been enjoying the chance to create some new cards, but I am looking forward to scrapbooking some pages for my youngest daughter one of these days.

It was fun to pull the teddy bear stamped image I've had for ages and make it into a card for a sweet little girl that turns 2.

I made this card for a gentleman in our church that has his own carpentry business.  It put some stamps to good use.

Lots of Birthdays...

Every once in awhile there seems to be an abundance of birthday cards that need to be made for church family members.  This happened to be one of those weeks.

I especially enjoyed making the guitar card for our song worship leader.

First try using watercolors...

I've had a set of water color paints for several months now, but today was the first time I got them out to use on a couple of cards.  For the thank you card I just used a few pinks to create the background.  The sympathy card was made using browns and a green.  After the paper dried, I embossed the paper to make it look like wood grain.  I love how this card turned out.

Recent cards

My card stash is getting low, so I needed to make a few for church family members.

Sympathy

I needed a quick sympathy card for my husband to use, so here is what I ended up with.  The background is chalk.

Miscellaneous cards

From Father's Day to church family birthday and anniversary cards, I had a few to make recently.  Here they are...

This card used up several pre-cut butterflies I had in my stash.  This design is wonderful for using up those extras...
I used chalk for the background of this card.  It made for a quick and easy card.

Last of the graduation cards

These are the final two graduation cards I made for the year.  I love how they both turned out.  For the "cougar" card, I cut pieces out of the actual graduation invitation.  The graduation cap was cut by hand.  This card is very similar to another masculine graduation card I made earlier this year.

Final Mojo Monday Cards...

I'm so thankful I was able to play along one last time with the final Mojo Monday Sketch #500.  I created these cards for church family members.

Mojo Monday 500

This is the first chance I've had to play along with the final Mojo Monday Sketch.  What a blessing it has been to have these sketches for inspiration week after week!  Thank you, Julee.  May the Lord bless your next season, too.

I also made a quick anniversary card...

Quick Masculine Graduation Cards

My husband works with a couple of young men that are graduating this year, so he asked me if I could make a couple cards.  This is what I ended up with...

Graduation card for a seamstress...

I took some extra time to create this card for a young lady we have known for about 13 years.  It's hard to believe she is graduating from high school this year.

I made this card a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to take a picture and upload it.

Stash busting for my boy...

I finally used a K&Company kit that I have had FOREVER!  I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

Mojo Monday 498 and Using Up My Stash

Here is what else I was able to use with the papers I started with for my last post--4 more pages and 6 cards!  I loved this My Mind's Eye paper and can't wait to add pictures to these layouts.  I've also been asked to hold on to a couple of the birthday cards to use for my girls next year.

Challenge Sketch

Here is the sketch I used for the layout below.

I love how it turned out!

Here are the 3 sets of 2-page layouts I made using some My Mind's Eye papers I picked up at a thrift sale at our LSS.  There were 6 full sheets and 1 sheet of cutouts.  I used some K& Company stickers, CTMH wooden shapes, and enamel dots from Michaels.

Graduation 2017

This is the second graduation card I have created this year.  With graduation cards I like to try to make the card "feel" like the graduate.  This card is for a musical, theatrical, traveling guy.  While I didn't get any musical elements in there, I think it fits him.

BTW...  The time on the clock is the same time his graduation ceremony started.
