Adding a couple Thinking of You cards to that Stash.

In addition to a couple of birthday cards, I was able to complete a couple of thinking of you cards using scraps.

Building my birthday card stash.

I've had some time the last couple of days to dig through my scraps of paper and come up with some cards to replenish my supply.  When I say scraps, I mean scraps.  I have small bits of paper arranged in baggies by color.  I'm so bad about throwing anything out, because I just might have a use for it later.

Here are a couple of the birthday cards I was able to put together...

It is amazing what you can come up with using just scraps and some How to Books for inspiration.

Influence

There are some people that touch our lives and leave lasting imprints on our hearts.  Diane is one such lady.  I've been thinking of her a lot lately and wanted to send a card to let her know how much she means to our family.  She loves the Lord and it is evident!

I used scraps of paper and a sketch from the Fabulously Artsy blog.

Non-traditional Bridal Shower Card

The girls and I recently attended the bridal shower of their very first baby sitter.  Carole is such a beautiful young woman, inside and out.  When I sat down to create this card, I couldn't help but have a song in my heart for this young woman as she gets ready for a new chapter in her life.  Hence, the little birdie singing...

And now for the June feminine journals.

Wedding Mojo297

We had the honor and privilege of witnessing the marriage vows of a young couple that has honored the Lord and followed His plan in finding and committing to a lifelong partner.  I can't remember being at a ceremony that was any more beautiful, or attending a reception in which the toasts made by the best man and maid of honor were more focused on the walk this young couple has with the Lord and love they have for one another.  I was moved to tears on numerous occasions.

The card I made for them utilized a piece of their wedding invitation.  I got my inspiration from the Mojo Monday sketch 297, so I will be linking up to it.  It's been sooo long since I have played along.

The other masculine journals....

Here are the other masculine journals I created for June.

A few masculine and a few feminine journals.

With Father's Day this month, I wanted to be sure to create some journals with more of a masculine feel.  For these journals, there were pairs--either in layout or color scheme.

2013 Graduation Cards

It's that time of year again, and we are in need of several graduation cards.  I try to create cards that are either geared to the young men or the young women.

The beginning of W2W journals....

Last fall, the women's ministry at church had a crafting activity.  I was asked to come up with some basic journals for the women to put together, so I decided on 8 options.  In order to keep things simple, I pre-cut and stamped all the supplies for each journal.  The women were so excited about the journals, it was decided I would create journals each month to be sold as a fundraiser for the young girl the women's ministry sponsors.

All Hung Up

I made this card several months ago, but I never got around to posting it.  The hanger is so cute and works great with some paper ties.

Made long ago...

As I was cleaning up some files on the computer, I came across these pictures of cards I made a long time ago.  These are all cards that could easily be used for a man.

Circles of Thanks

This card was created from a long past Mojo Monday sketch.  I like how this card came together utilizing a Verve stamp set that works perfectly with the circle theme.  A little bling never hurts either....

Super Simple

I wanted to use up some scraps of paper, so I let this larger piece of lovely paper be the focus of this simple card.  The dark strip of paper was folded for added interest.

Pink Birthday

I love the layers on this card and the touch of sparkle.  This card inspired a birthday card I had posted previously.

A Masculine Thinking of You Card

Most of the cards I make tend to have a feminine feel, but once in awhile I try to create cards that a man would appreciate.  I like using the lighthouse image for masculine cards.

Inspired

I am always inspired by the cards Teresa Kline at http://paperieblooms.blogspot.com/ creates.  I tried to find the exact card that inspired these, but I didn't see it as I looked back through her posts.  She creates so many beautiful cards, it's no wonder I couldn't find the one I was looking for after a few months.
