Best Wishes

Our assistant pastor and his family were called away from our church.  They are a beautiful young couple and will be missed.  This is the Christmas/Going Away card that I created for them.  I love this sentiment from the "Make it Count" stamp set.  It was so fitting for this situation as this family was with our church for a season and now they will start a new season of life in Indiana.

The papers are from one of last year's DCWV paper stacks.  I love the colors together.  I'm such a paper hoarder, so I've vowed not to purchase any paper unless I need a specific color for a particular layout.  Of course when I get to see the new CTMH papers this vow will likely have an exception...

Last of Evensong Cards...

I don't believe I have very much of the Evensong paper packet papers left.   Most of the paper was used for Christmas layouts from 2008, but I had a few pieces of paper left that worked great for the Christmas cards I made this year.  All of my cards were kept simple and this one is no different.  I stamped the baby Jesus image in bamboo ink and then the Scripture in barn red ink.  The snowflake is from a Cuttlebug die.

Snowman Love

This is another card that I made using papers from the 2008 CTMH Christmas paper packet called Evensong.  The snowflake paper is just cardstock randomly stamped using a stamp set called "Let it Snow" (at least I think that is the name).  I kept it simple, but still am pleased with how the card turned out.  These are cards I will use as thank you cards for gifts our family receives.

Baby Boy

My sister-in-law and her husband are expecting their first baby this month.  Yesterday was the baby shower for them, so this is the card I created.  I followed the Heart 2 Heart guidelines--alphabet, boy, chocolate.  It is also my take on the Mojo Monday sketch.

Dragonflies and Paper Ribbon

I had fun making these cards and I am so glad that I chose to do 4 at a time for each card.  It makes card making so much quicker when you cut out and stamp supplies for several cards at once.  The paper is from the DCWV fall 2009 stack and the stamp sets are Treasures and Butterfly Kisses, both from CTMH.  I love how CTMH offers solid and patterned images of the same thing so you can layer them as I did with the dragonflies.  The bottom layer is creme brulee and the top layer is barn red.

Final pages for adoption album...

I have seen pictures of the precious little boy whose pictures will be filling this album.  He is "cute as a button," so I had to include these pages.
As the final page, I wanted something special.  This poem is wonderful for adoptive families.

Round 3 of Adoption album...

Pages 12-13 are meant for highlighting special pictures of their new son and a new family photo.
Pages 14-15 are meant for the first pictures taken back at home in the United States.
Pages 16-17 can be used for more family pictures or just of their new little boy playing at home with his "forever family."

Some more adoption album pages...

This little boy that will soon be with his forever family has spent his first year of life in an orphanage, so I wanted to include some pages for his parent's to put pictures from his days at the orphanage in Ethiopia.
Every album needs a page for mom and a page for dad, so that is what pages 8/9 and 10/11 are set up for.

Adoption album

I am so excited to be able to share this with you.  Some friends of ours are getting ready to head to Ethiopia to pick up their son.  They have struggled with fertility issues and gone through the long process of adoption, but the time is finally at hand to bring home their first child.  I wanted to do something special for them and since their son is already a year old, the typically first year album just wouldn't be appropriate.  Instead, I decided to create an 8x8 album for them to document their journey of bringing Elijah home.  Today I am sharing the first five pages.  In the next few days I will be sharing pictures of the rest of the album.

CTMH Clearly the Best!

I would have to agree--I love CTMH stamps, inks and papers. The quality is excellent! There are so many wonderful things to choose from that it is terribly hard to decide.

Anyway, I wanted to share Melissa Laverty's video that she created for a CTMH consultant contest. Enjoy! I can't wait to see what other consultants have come up with...
